CrossFit Mums was established early in 2017 by one of our coaches, Hayley, who has a personal passion for women’s health and fitness.
CrossFit is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, Hayley realised that Mums who wanted to regain their fitness postpartum, either attaining previous strength and ability or starting new, had to do so with care and caution. As well as training for all round body strength, CrossFit Mums focuses on rebuilding core strength postpartum, whether it be from 6 weeks or 6 years - it’s never too late to start! Making, carrying and birthing a baby has a huge impact upon our bodies and we need to treat them with the care and respect they deserve.
By using a mix of strength, conditioning we’re empowering Mums to take back control of their bodies with other likeminded, powerful and friendly mums!
Our classes run Monday to Friday at 9:30 and are 1 hour long. Classes are £5.50 each if you pay as you go and we offer membership prices which are financially beneficial if you plan to workout with us more than 2 x per week.
If you wish to use the childcare facilities, we have a lovely team of ladies who look after the little ones while you workout. They’re very close by and this service is included in the price.
The way we exercise is very specific and as such, we have an on-boarding process so you can safely learn the exercises in a Personal Training, 1-2-1 setting. That means you can go into classes confidently, having been taught the exercises and understanding the right workout options for you.
Our on-boarding process is 3 Personal Training sessions at £20 each, then once they’re completed you can access the classes and the childcare facility.
You will learn:
*How to engage and use your core properly during exercise.
*Specific exercises that will help you to get the best results from each workout.
*Information about returning to exercise postnatally. (If you are 20 years post having a child, you are still postnatal so this is relevant to everyone).
*How to do the exercises correctly to get the best results from them, safely.
*Which version of each exercise is right for you.
As part of the service you will also receive an assessment if your Diastasis Recti (or tummy gap) with a personalised program to regain core and pelvic floor strength post partum.
